Mount Wuyi is located in Fujian Province of China. Since 1999, the mountain has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for cultural, scenic, and biodiversity values. Tongmu Village has an average altitude of 1,200 meters and is surrounded by clouds and mist all year round. It is the birthplace of the world’s black tea. The first black tea-Lapsang Souchong-was created by accident, and was made by a special technique with pine wood smoke.
