Loongese Story

Loong, also known as the Chinese Dragon, is a legendary creature of oriental mythology and folklore. Traditionally, Loong symbolizes power, prosperity and changes. Based on above, “Loongese（龍易）” is created.

Loongese originates from the Hanloong Cultural Management Consulting Company founded by Mr. Guodong Zhang on the Tsinghua campus in 2005.

During Hanloong’s operation in China, Guodong led the team and traveled across territories, combined extensive culture with the specific business, and shaped dozens of cultural projects in various regions by challenging the conventional approaches……

Co-founders

As an explorer of life & art, Guodong worked as a team leader of cultural management consultants for eight years. He traveled around China, experienced various cultures and customs, and accumulated impressive experience on numbers of successful projects.

Aiming to connect the East and the West cultures and provide healthy, natural, and delicious products to the community, Guodong and Juan built the physical creative space of Loongese in Laval in 2019.

Creative Space

Based on Guodong and Juan’s rich experience in cultural and creative projects, Guodong built the website of Loongese in 2016 for cultural communication.

Using teas, ceramics, and paintings as carriers, Loongese creative culture space was constructed in Laval in 2019 as a new start. Since then, we have been presenting various activities and workshops, showcasing authentic oriental culture and enriching local cultural life through Loongese.

I stumbled upon this small tea shop and was very impressed by the quantity and quality of teaware and accessories available. They have fine quality tea leaves, they are knowledgeable, accommodating and very respectful. They offer tea ceremonies in a calm setting in order to enjoy an immersive experience. I recommend visiting the shop to take a mindful pause from your busy day and recharge yourself.

I recently visited this unique spot, and it felt like stepping into a Chinese immersive experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and took the time to introduce us to their impressive collection of products. We sampled three different types of tea and really enjoyed the rich aroma. The bubble tea was also quite good, made entirely with real tea instead of powders. Definitely worth a visit for tea lovers!

A hidden tea room with a unique and rich atmosphere, carefree and at great prices. I went there by chance having noticed the secluded seats allowing a tea ceremony at my own pace. A unique and quality place in Laval. Also: one of the most interesting puer tea selections I've seen.

What a wonderful escape from busy city mall life. This store is packed with warm and cozy atmosphere. Even though I was just beside all of the mall lights and other buildings, this place was seperate and beautiful in its own way.The tea selection is wonderful, and I was so happy to be able to smell the teas on my own! It sounds silly but I don't like have to ask just to smell a tea. Also the amount of tea cakes is incredible. Not to mention their selection of teaware in varying price ranges.The tea itself is fair price, if not better than I've seen.The owner was warm and welcoming, and seemed so eager to talk about tea and tea culture. We had a lovely conversation about teas and business, which helped me forget my little busy life.Seriously go check this place out, even if just for a cup of tea and a place to look around at the beauty of tea culture. ❤️

This place is a hidden gem! There are many various tea sets and accessories as well as different types of teas to drink. They're also selling bubble tea and we got to try the matcha and black tea bubble tea, delicious! The owner was super sweet and I will definitely come back, I loved it!

Amazing experience and welcoming staff !! It was my sisters’ and I first visit, we booked an hour-long workshop. Our host Juan was so great. She’s very knowledgeable and passionate. She answered any questions we had and created a lovely atmosphere. Also, their variety of products is great. This teahouse will definitely be my go-to !!

Had an amazing time at the Wagashi and tea workshop! Everyone is super nice, and the lessons were very informative. Furthermore, it was super fun creating japanese deserts with the team, I highly recommend checking out their workshop if you haven't already.

If I could put more stars I would. It is an incredible space, both for relaxing and learning.The products offered are all great, I've been getting my tea from here exclusively for about a year now.I try to bring people there as much as I can and the owners are always extremely welcoming.

The atmosphere of the place is calm and the hostess is very welcoming. She also offers tea tasting sessions where you can learn more in detail about the teas you’re drinking and about how to properly drink your tea. Will definitely go again!
