望庐山瀑布

(唐) 李白

日照香炉生紫烟, 遥看瀑布挂前川。

飞流直下三千尺, 疑是银河落九天。

Appreciating Falls at Mount Lu

A poem by Li Bai/Tr. by Guodong

Purple haze rises from the summit of incense burner
Far away, the falls look like white silk hanging on the mountains
The torrent is pouring thousands feet from high cliffs straightly
I amaze it should be the milky way spilling down from the heavens.

Li Bai (李白, 701 – 762), Tang dynasty (618–907)
